Yesterday when I logged into WordPress I noticed immediately that the hits on my blog have been climbing steadily over the past few days and were at one of their highest peaks yesterday. I thought to myself, “that’s odd, considering I haven’t posted in over a week.” Then I looked at the stats and saw that everyone and their mom is searching for homemade chocolate fondue. Aha. The same thing happened last year too.
In the past week, the top three search terms have been:
- homemade fondue
- homemade chocolate fondue
- how to make fondue without a fondue pot
Fondue must be in high demand on Valentine’s Day. Chocolate fondue is very easy to make if you are looking for a fun, homemade dessert for tonight. To see just how easy it is, click here:
Here are some other desserts I’ve made in the last year that would be good for tonight too:
Chococado Pudding (has a secret ingredient!)
Maple Butter Pecan Cupcakes (I love the pictures on this post)
Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Sauce (super easy recipe)
Fabulous Fruit Tart (for those not in the mood for chocolate)
Chocolate Cupcakes with Bailey’s Buttercream (sadly I cannot partake in these this year 😦 )
And here are some oldies but goodies:
I’m not sure what Benzo and I’s plan is for tonight. We were originally going to stay home and cook dinner. Benzo was in charge of dinner and I was in charge of dessert. But then this evening we talked about going to a movie and then remembered that we have a giftcard to a local restaurant left over from the holidays. So we are now debating going out for dinner and a movie.
Part of me doesn’t want to go out at ALL just because I’m sure it will be busy everywhere we go. I don’t necessarily like to be in large crowds of people. But another part of me thinks it would be nice to get out and not have to cook and mess up the house! And it would be a free night out because we have a dinner giftcard and a movie giftcard.
The decision will probably hinge on when we can get home from work and whether or not we can get a reservation at the restaurant. We’ll see what happens. Enjoy your evenings!
