…bring May flowers. It started raining yesterday in Kansas and it hasn’t stopped. It was still raining and thundering when I woke up this morning. Which is great for the garden and the new plants I planted last weekend. However it is not good for running. I was scheduled to do a 5 mile tempo run last night and I was stuck doing it on the treadmill at the gym. Big thumbs down for that!
I’m so glad it’s Friday. Can you believe there’s only one more week of April left? Crazy! Anywho I wanted to share some pretty pictures of flowers that I snapped last weekend.
First up are my neighbors awesome tulips. The colors make me so happy when I see them each night when I get home from work.
Next are these gorgeous purple petunias that I planted in my new hanging basket. I love that the basket is not plastic and I can reuse it every year. I got it at Lowes and it was pretty inexpensive. I think it was less expensive to buy the basket and the flowers separately than it was it buy a hanging basket already planted.
I think the petunias will start to trail down the sides once they get bigger. At least I’m hoping that’s what they do.
Here’s a pot of yellow begonias I also planted last weekend. They came in a plastic pot but I transplanted them to this clay pot. I love yellow and had to get these. They were the last yellow ones!
I have them sitting on my front stoop.
Finally this little guy visited my flower bed while I was working last weekend.
Isn’t he cute? I should name him. I’ve seen little lizards in the flower bed before but they are usually these tiny blue guys. This one is gray and a bit bigger. Any science type people know what kind of lizard this is?
Well I’m off to work. Have a fantastic Friday!
Those are BEAUTIFUL flowers! I can’t wait till I can run 5 miles, the weather can be a SUPER bummer! With my so called running addiction…
At least it’s not freezing, right? I’ll take one day on the treadmill for every 10 days running outside as long as I don’t have to fight the cold temperatures.
The yellow flowers are soooo pretty. I love them!
Your flowers are beautiful and I LOVE the lizard!! Hope your weekend is great!
