I agree that making dog treats is WAY more economical AND healthier since you can control what goes into the cookies. Between my own dogs and foster dogs, I have anywhere between 3-5 dogs in my home at any given time...all with various nutritional needs and allergy issues. I got so tired of paying through the nose for 'healthy' store-bought treats that I decided it would be worthwhile to try making my own...I love to bake, so it's been fun for me to do. I make HUGE batches and then freeze them.
If you're interested in swapping some dog cookie recipes, send me an email! I have a GREAT pumpkin/pb/applesauce cookie recipe that all my dogs go coo-coo for! ♥

My Grayhound waits for me to finish making these. Then lays infront of the oven until morning. He dances and prances around while I measure, mix and he helps pick out cookie cutters to make shapes. This recipe is GREAT for bonding with your furry friend. Melanie Alabama
